There is a lot of hype around getting to number 1 on Google and so there should as getting to number on google yield some good returns if your page is optimised, but if you soley rely on google or Yahoo, MSN and other search engines then you are sure to miss out other the abundence of potential vistiors out there.

When thinking about your website and your brand, you are going to have to think outside the box, there are many ways to skin a cat and so there are many ways to market your website, sometimes it is going to be near impossible to reach the holy grail of a 1st place position on all major search engine for certain keywords unless of course you have bags of money to burn but this does not mean you cannot achieve success or vast amount of visitors.

(Bare in mind just because you are 1st on a search engine does not mean you will reach the top 100 rich list but it still good to be there or there abouts.)

The main thing with online marketing is it can be fun, alot more fun than handing out flyers, although I would not rule that out, until next time…. have fun!
